Favorites are synced to Google account, mail is in the cloud. I'm not using it for my C: drive (yet) so if C: would fail I would lose my save games for the games I'm currently playing. That way fire/flood/theft won't loose you both the original & backup data. With the above I can place the NAS at another physical location with backup/sync going over the Internet. ATM BTSync is using 338MB of RAM (it's the number of files, less files would use less RAM). It's resilient & BTSync notices when you do other stuff on the Internet & immediately throttles down so you never notice it. Torrent works well, just transmitting changes to a file, not the whole file.

I have a CIFS share made but it's on manual startup if need be. No mapped drive so no problem with virus/cryptolocker getting at your backup.
That way I'm not reliant on a program to access them. I like having my backup stored as files not a giant. So that's why I'm interested to see what other people have to say about what they're using. I went with BitTorrent Sync for my backup solution without much of a look at other solutions, Bacula & whatnot. I would like to hear other people's opinions on their choice of backup plugin/software for use with FreeNAS.
